Introduction

Hello! Welcome to Girl Speak. A website designed specifically for people who like to read about nothing and have questions about anything.

April Showers bring may flowers

This is Stumpy. He is the one legged pigeon we met at this restaurant on the Santa Monica pier, which by the way had horrible, horrible food.
I can't believe it's already May. April was another tough month. I was offered 3 jobs, and after a lot of thinking and contemplating, and comparing, I decided to take one. That one ended up being weeks upon weeks of them telling me I would start tomorrow. After about 3 or 4 week sof this I told them I needed to work and could not wait around any longer.
They never called or emailed me again after that.
So here I am back on the job market! And it's so GREAT! Now, I look stale and undesirable because it's been 2 months and I haven't gotten a job yet. Ok that's probably an exaggeration, but it gets a person down after being unemployed for so long. On the bright side I had 2 more interviews today, which really is the hard part. I've only NOT been offered 3 jobs I've ever actually interviewed for in my whole like, 4 if you count not making it even past the pre-screening at Warner Bros. Anyway, I am optimistic but weary I guess you could say.
So far this month I have made some big decisions and met some very cool new people out here in LA. Ok maybe just *A* big decision. I am now researching the fashion industry. I have decided that I would like to start my own clothing line. This will probably take months upon months of research, more research, and even more research. But! This is the first idea I've had for my own business (besides candik virtual assistant) that I have gotten excited about.
I know already that I will need a designer to work with me and help me create the samples. Someone to help me carry out my vision. :) Someone with talent. I'm not going to elaborate much. I just want to make a line for short people! I'm very short and kids clothes are mostly too small but the majority of clothes in womens stores are much too big. I'm tired of hemming everything, I'm tired of my workout clothes being uncomfortable. And seriously, have any of you short people ever looked through the petites anywhere? It's aweful. If I was 60 I'm sure I'd like those lines. *Thinks* Um, on second thought, probably not.
Anyway, anyone with any great insight for me into the fashion world, advice, suggestions, critisism, please feel free to email!
