Introduction

Hello! Welcome to Girl Speak. A website designed specifically for people who like to read about nothing and have questions about anything.

March came in like a Lamb this year...

And mostly went out like a Lion...
Except not like weather wise...
Well, sort of weather wise...
To clarify March was just an overall emotional, unfortunate, series of events really.
I like to think that my boyfriend and are good people. We work hard, we try to do the right thing. We help other people when we can, we have in the past gotten involved in volunteer work. I actually mentored 5th graders and he volunteered at the local hospital back home. These are not the types of thing I see people who are "terrorists" doing. And yet, we were accused of being terrorists by one Mr. Brian Hacey. Proud Sales Manager at Ackerman Toyota in good old (NOT) St Louis, MO.
I initially got a little carried away writing about the situation, seeing as I'm still very upset about the whole ordeal, so please check out the blog entry for those details.
I guess what Mr. Hacey didn't anticipate, is that *almost* nothing but good came from this. For anyone who doesn't know, we relocated to Los Angeles and we even managed to increase our income by literally THOUSANDS of dollars by doing this. Even with the difference in the cost of living, we still increased our income THOUSANDS. Ha ha ha ha. So, I guess in the end the jokes on him. I just hope charma really does exist. I'm not sure what Nelly's so proud about St Louis for. I personally hate that city and I'm glad to be gone.
So, getting back to my heading, what I meant about the weather and what not going out like a Lion, we left St Louis on a Monday and drove through the night to reach Denver, Colorado to visit a couple of very good friends of mine. It is nice to be around "REAL" people after almost 2 years of being around crappy weird people. Anyway, we stayed in Denver for a couple of days and then headed out one snowy Thursday morning for Las Vegas. We drove a huge yellow penske truck 26 footer towing my stupid ass Scion that I would love oh so dearly if only the company didn't codone such treatment of their customers. Anyway, so through the mountains we went at times only able to reach 35 miles per hour and other times with the visibility through the snow almost nothing. But, a short 14 hours or something later, we pulled into Las Vegas. Too pooped to even party. I really should have blogged this long story. But oh well. We spent just that night in Vegas and the next morning headed out for our new home in California.

The only thing I really regret about leaving St Louis is abandoning my new adventure as a Exchange Student Coordinator. Life seemed to come to a standstill for a couple of days as we realized what had happened and the impact it had on our lives, and then suddenly it got a bit hectic, with the packing, the tieing up of things that needed to be tied up, finding a place to live out here, applying for jobs, doing phone interviews, and selling items that we most likely would not be able to keep or need here in California. Not to mention, we just plain needed the money. But again, check my blog because I plan on going on a bit more about all of this there once I finish this update. haha.

So, well, here we are 5 or 6 weeks later in Sunny SoCal. Learning to surf and getting ready to start new fantastic (ie high paying) jobs. We got lucky with the roommate situation and managed to find the perfect roommates right away. They were the first, and honestly, the only people we talked to. Sure we looked around, but we knew these 2 were the ones for us haha.

That's all for now on the front page. Please use the contact form below and let us know your feelings and comments about the situation if you want to. Oh yeah and check out www.ackermantoyotasucks.com while you're at it. If there is one thing to know about us, it's NOT to piss us off!
